There's no Dance of the Sugar-Plum Rebbe tonight

Another reason Hanukkah feels better than Christmas - Betting Hanukkah gelt (money) on candle races.

Impress your friends: The fifth night of Hanukkah is called 'the darkest night', not because it falls on one of the last days of the Hebrew month of Kislev (meaning there is no moon), but because it is the only night of Hanukkah that can NEVER fall on Shabbat.

Kurstin X Grohl: The Hanukkah Sessions: Night Five

It always good to hear a song from our favorite Nobel Laureate, Robert Allen Zimmerman, during Hanukkah

Eight Candles  Yo Lo Tango

Yo La Tengo figured the world could use a few more Hanukkah songs. Especially ones like this.

How The Kvetch Stole Chanukah -

Jacob the Bar Mitzvah Boy explains Hanukkah -

Chanukah at the North Pole -

I believe that oil fatigue may have already set in. Hold on, you will get through this.

It's our second guest programmer this year and it has nothing to due with the fact that it's Julietta's birthday. (Once again, I did not have to harangue her for several weeks to get her actual choices. I thought I had them after Thanksgiving dinner. I have to tell her that she never sent them to me.)

A Nonsense Christmas  Sabrina Carpenter -

The original song Nonsense was first released as a part of the album, emails i can't send, in July of 2022 and later released as a Christmas remix titled A Nonsense Christmas in December of that year. It was written by Sabrina Carpenter, Julian Bunetta and Steph Jones.

Please come home for Christmas   Kelly Clarkson -

Charles Brown was a Texas blues musician who recorded the popular R&B Christmas song Merry Christmas Baby in 1947. Please Come Home For Christmas is a very melancholy Christmas song, as the singer has lost his girl and finds himself unbearably lonely over the holidays. Brown wrote it with Gene Redd, who was a New York producer that went on to guide the career of Kool & the Gang.

Christmas Tree Farm (Taylor's Version)   Taylor Swift -

Taylor Swift grew up on a Christmas tree farm that was run by her parents at their Pine Ridge Farm home in Reading, Pennsylvania. Taylor Swift's childhood job on the Christmas tree farm was "picking the praying mantis pods off of the trees so the bugs wouldn't hatch inside people's houses."

Nice work if you can get it.

Santa, Can't You Hear Me  Kelly Clarkson and Ariana Grande -

Santa, Can't You Hear Me was written by Kelly Clarkson with Aben Eubanks and produced by Jason Halbert.

Oh Hanukkah  Elf Yourself -

Oh Hanukkah
is an English version of the Yiddish Oy Chanukah. The English words, while not a translation, are roughly based on the Yiddish.

Julietta would like to wish everyone a Happy and Healthy holiday season and a bright New Year.

As always - for an extra added treat, here's a few Christmas songs from Puddles Pity Party

What would Christmas be without our favorite 7 foot tall clown singing Christmas songs -
