The ACME Eagle Hand Soap Radio Hour (74)

Another page from the ACME Catalog -

Before our feature presentation, ACME would like to start the evening with a Wile E. Coyote/ Road Runner Looney Tunes cartoon, the 1958 Chuck Jones directed, Whoa Be Gone:

The cartoon doesn't end with an "iris out" or fade to black as usual; instead, the Road Runner pulls down the "That's All Folks!" title card.

On June 30, 1966, the Beatles made their first appearances in Japan. They performed two concerts on June 30, two on July 1 and one on July 2. The shows were filmed by Nippon Television, and broadcast as The Beatles Recital From Nippon Budokan. So to commemorate the event, please join The ACME Eagle Hand Soap Radio Hour in watching the 1966 Japanese TV special (and the performance the Beatles did the next day.) So don't worry, ACME will give you a moment to go get your Beatles boots, to dance around the house while you're watching the show.

The Beatles' set consisted of a mere 11 songs, clocking in a around a half hour. They highlighted recent material such as Nowhere Man and Paperback Writer but also reached back to a couple of 'oldies' like "I Wanna Be Your Man" and Chuck Berry's Rock and Roll Music. Paul McCartney got his mid-set solo spot with Yesterday while I'm Down ended the show in raucous fashion.
