Dr. Caligari's cabinet is now so crammed that he had to stow stuff in the Cupboard. Time may wound all heels but once in a while you need a cup of tea.

The ACME Eagle Hand Soap Radio Hour (71)
Another page from the ACME Catalog -
Before our feature presentation, ACME would like to start the evening with a Road Runner/ Wile E. Coyote Looney Tunes cartoon, the 1958 Chuck Jones directed, Whoa Be-Gone! :
The cartoon doesn't end with an "iris out" or fade to black as usual; instead, the Road Runner pulls down the "That's All Folks!" title card.
Paul McCartney and Wings released their third studio album, Band on the Run on December 5, 1973. The album initially did well but not great. McCartney had not wanted to release any singles from the album; his studio convinced him to release the title track. The single was released in April of 1974, Band on the Run, went to No. #1 on the Billboard charts on this date. Please join The ACME Eagle Hand Soap Radio Hour in listening to this great Wings album.
By the end of 1974 Band On The Run had sold more than six million copies worldwide, making it Wings' most-successful album. The slow climb up the charts and continued high placing allowed McCartney to reconsider the direction of Wings and to recruit a new guitarist and drummer prior to more recordings and world tours.
I've never seen the original video for the title song. We thought you'd enjoy seeing it as well.
The video was directed by Michael Coulson, a film student in 1974, meant as a tribute to the Beatles, featuring montages of still pictures from their career.
The amazing difficulties that Paul McCartney and Wings had to overcome to record Band on the Run, is an amazing story.
ITV UK released a documentary in 2010, Paul McCartney and Wings: Band On The Run, covering the incredible story of the recording of the album
