The ACME Eagle Hand Soap Radio Hour (154)

Thank you for joining us today.

Before our feature presentation, ACME would like to start the evening with another Bugs Bunny Merry Melodies cartoon, the 1948 My Bunny Lies over the Sea, directed by Chuck Jones.

Please note: The title is an obvious play on the second line of the old song, My Bonnie Lies over the Ocean.

January 4, 1967 -
Welcome to the first weekend of 2020. Most of the staff of The ACME Eagle Hand Soap Radio Hour have sobered up enough for us to pot together a show this evening. On this date, the Doors released their eponymous debut album The Doors. The album features their breakthrough single Light My Fire and the lengthy song The End with its Oedipal spoken word section. The album was recorded at Sunset Sound Studios in Hollywood, California over six days and unique packaging of the album included each band members bio. So why not sit back and relax (quick, find the most comfortable seat on the sofa,) get a snack (perhaps, some popcorn,) and a beverage and join The ACME Eagle Hand Soap Radio Hour in listening to the Doors (by all means, smoke 'em. if you got 'em.) -

Both Jim Morrison and Ray Manzarek attended the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. Also there at the same time was Oscar-winning movie director Francis Ford Coppola.
