Another reason Hanukkah feels better than Christmas - the Rugrats Hanukkah special is a whole lot less depressing than Hey! Arnold‘s Christmas episode.
Let's see what's on the ole turntable for Hanukkah this evening -

OK kids, PNC bank has reported that there is a 1.2% increase in the price of the items needed for the 12 days of Christmas. In the 35th year of their survey, PNC has found that the 12 items come out to a grand total of $39,094.93, a $4536.28 increase from last year. The cost of this year's CPI increase was driven by the cost increases for the geese-a-laying, wage increases for the Lords-a-Leaping, pipers piping and drummers drumming. (I see once again, you do not get any bargains by purchases these item online; buying all 12 items from the comfort of your living room would cost you $41,165.95, ($2,071.02 more than in-store purchases.) But it's a decrease of 10% from last years on-line total of $45,906.)
These prices are, of course, just for one verse of the song. If you add up the total cost of all the items from the entire song (what PNC Wealth Management calls “The True Cost of Christmas”) it would surmount $170,609.00, up more than $13, 051 from last year!
