The ACME Eagle Hand Soap Radio Hour (88)

The hostile takeover of the AJAX Corporation by ACME has hit a snag. So The ACME Eagle Hand Soap Radio Hour is going back to reviewing some of ACME's excellent products.

A page from the ACME Catalog -

Before our feature presentation, The Eagle Hand Soap Radio Hour would like to start the evening with the 1957 Sylvester and Elmer Fudd (with a brief cameo from Tweety Bird) Looney Tunes cartoon, Heir-Conditioned:

This was the second of three cartoons on the wonders of capitalism underwritten by the right-wing leaning Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. The others were By Word of Mouse and Yankee Dood It.

Since we were listening to Portishead last week, we here at The ACME Eagle Hand Soap Radio Hour have been listening to more trip-hop (no illegal drugs were involved.) And if you are listening to trip-hop, all road must lead to Massive Attack. During the tour to promote their 1998 album Mezzanine, Massive Attack, one of the forefathers of the trip-hop movement, appeared at the Royal Albert Hall in London on June 7, 1998. They recorded a live album of their concert. The ACME Eagle Hand Soap Radio Hour would like to take you back to that evening a little more than 20 years ago. As we have in the past, we encourage you to find a comfy seat, stake it and enjoy.

We're listening to the album now on our road trip to visit SOS at her college, The School for Wayward and Deplorable Children.
