The ACME Eagle Hand Soap Radio Hour (87)

The folks at ACME have been busy attempting a hostile takeover of their rival, AJAX Corporation. While all the fighting is going on, we are going to test out some of AJAX's premier products.

Before our feature presentation, The Eagle Hand Soap Radio Hour would like to start the evening with the Donald Duck 1948 Disney animated cartoon, Donald's Dream Voice:

The Donald's other voice is an obvious spoof of English actor Ronald Colman.

The staff has been thinking alot about old music venues in NYC that are now closed. Released in the fall of 1998, the Trip-Hop group Portishead’s July 24, 1997 concert at New York City’s now-shuttered Roseland Ballroom is one of the best performances you’ll ever see. The Bristol, England-bred band performs hits from their premiere album, Dummy, and their eponymous sophomore follow-up, Portishead, with a brass quintet and a thirty-three-piece orchestra. The Eagle Hand Soap Radio Hour would like you to enjoy this first day of autumn, watching this wonderful concert. So once again, find a spot, stake it and enjoy.

While everyone is good in this show, the real star of the show is unquestionably Beth Gibbons.
